Marley's Last Day

Today is Marley's last day at Jane's.  Jane is this WONDERFUL woman who has cared for my child for the past 3 years and it breaks my heart to leave her.  She has loved my kid, taught my kid, and occasionally disciplined my kid.  She has been a great support to both Ferdie and myself and one of our greatest cheerleaders.  Jane has become a part of our family along with her husband Albert and daughter Jeanie.  So much a part of our family that Marley had this to say the other day...

"Mommy, I'm lucky to have our family live so close to us.  Nana and Papa.  Jane and Albert and Jeanie and Hunter and Logan.  They are our family too right?"

So sweet!  Of course they are our family, we have seen them almost every day for the past 3 years (with the exception of weekends and holidays).

We are going to miss Jane, Albert, and Jeanie.  But we are more than happy to hand them off to a pretty lil girl named Maddie!

FF Break

Here at Shootin' the Poop we are having Friday Favorite writers block.  We are tired and just can't think of any other things we love right now!  Its hot here in Cali and damn it - its a holiday weekend!  We deserve the break!  right?  We will be back in the next few weeks hopefully revived and spreading our favorite items across the net for your reading pleasure.

So have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!  Have some drinks for me please!

PS.. what is everyone up to this weekend?  We are going to the Angel game tonight and then swimming Saturday at my Sister in laws.  I am so happy it is a long weekend!  I just wish I was at home right now with Mike and Abbie though!

PPS.. HOw many of you missed BB* because of the channel change?  Boo to you CBS for not telling anyone!  Thanks goodness we went to watch it live.  We only missed 5 minutes.  Check your Tivo's people- this could happen again!

Big Brother 8

OK, WHAT IS WITH AMBER on this show!?!  The cow cries at EVERYTHING!!  And did anybody notice how all of the sudden she has become super religious in the past couple of weeks?  It seems forced and not "real".  Don't get me wrong, I am not knocking her for her faith, but have you noticed just how awkward it is when she is praying?

And how about that KISS?!?  I thought it was SO CUTE!!  I love Eric!

A Little Scare

Well, we just came through a little scare - luckily everything is ok.  Last Wednesday (right after I told you all about the baby) I started spotting.  It stopped that night - thank god!  Then Friday am it started up pretty heavy and scared me a lot more.  I called the DR and they had me go in for blood work to check all my levels again and put me on bed rest.  It stopped early Saturday morning.  Yesterday I received a call form my Dr's nurse that my progesterone has dropped down and that I need to come in for a U/S and I needed to start taking progesterone to help raise my levels and then have my blood checked again at the end of the week.  I started taking my progesterone last night - 200mg's at night and then again in the morning on an empty stomach.  Last nights dose wasn't bad, but I feel crappy after taking this mornings - shaky and sick - different from morning sickness feeling. I could also put my head down right now and sleep!!! (that could be from 100 different things though).  We went and had a U/S today at 12:15 and we saw the heartbeat!  Yeah!!!  I felt instantly better.  I was so nervous about the appt.  I do have to go back in 2 weeks for a follow up U/S - fine by me!  I will also be taking progesterone until my 13th week.  I am 7 weeks today which puts my due date at April 15, with my C-section probably on April 2nd.  I will have a more definite date in a few months.  So things are so much better now, but we still need to keep my progesterone up to hold this baby in!

On top of all this Abbie has been home for almost a week with diarrhea.  It started last Wednesday night and is still going (a little better now - it has gone form water to cottage cheese - oh hush!  I am suppose to talk about poop on this page - did you read the name?).  She has no other symptoms and is reeking havoc on the house as we speak since she has been cooped up in it for way too long!  Mike stayed home Thursday and we have been going every other day since.  I will be home with her tomorrow.  The DR said not to worry until she has had it 10 days or has other symptoms with it.

PS.. I am so bummed out - last night I had a Chicken Fajita Pita with no onions from Jack in The Box (I am having a hard time with cooking smells right now) and I threw it up!  ugh!  I don't think I will ever be able to eat another one - and how I love them!

Friday Favorites-Fragrance Edition

I don't know when or where it started, but I have become a total fragrance whore.  I am thinking that it was one too many trips through duty-free during may travels that sent me over the edge.  Here are a couple of my favorites.

Hanae_mori Hanae Mori:  Layers of aromas reveal an intimate blend of tradition and modernity from the legendary grande dame of Japanese haute couture, Hanae Mori. Cherry trees in blossom, berries in the forest, the richness of the undergrowth - all have inspired Hanae Mori (whose name means 'flower of the forest').

Michael_kors Michael Kors:  Creamy florals explode into exotic spices, tamed by Moroccan incense. A fragrant creation with a wealth of personality that will capture the heart of every woman.
Notes: Dewy Freesia, Tamarind, Chinese Osmanthus, Incense, Fresh Tuberose, White Wings Peony, Blue Orris, Arum Lilies, Cashmere Woods, Musk, Vetiver Haiti.

Mk_hawaii Michael Kors Hawaii:  This luminous scent bursts open with a kaleidoscope of citrus sensations; exhilarating clementine and juicy orange fuse with luscious neroli while accents of hydroponic pineapple add to the tropical bliss. Exquisite orange flower accentuated with luxurious jasmine sambac and exotic Hawaiian ginger lilies transport the soul to the island destination. The jet set style is amplified by sexy white amber, creamy sandalwood, and rich, flowing balsamic notes reminiscent of warm tanned skin.Notes:
Orange, Neroli, Clementine, Pineapple, Ginger Lily, Sambac Jasmine, Orange Blossom, Sandalwood, White Amber, Balsamic.

Issey_miyake Issey Miyake:   L'Eau d'Issey reveals the pure scent of water. Its sparkling fragrance, with its floral, fresh and woody notes, embodies timelessness and movement.

So there you have it, just a few of my favorites.  Any recommendations?

And just for the fun of it, a random picture of Marley and Ferdie!

Details and Answers

OK I have gotten a bunch of e-mails and some questions in the comments, so here you go...

I am about 6 1/2 weeks along and we found out a week and 1/2 ago.  We were trying and I am due the beginning of April.  I did 2 home pg tests and confirmed with blood work by my Dr.  I have my first OB appt next Thursday and we are really excited about it!

We are not freaking out and nervous.  Yes I have had my moments of OMG while I am dry heaving, but I am not freaked.  A few months ago I came to peace over caring for 2, so that is why we started trying.  I know it won't be easy, but I know that we will make it work and it will be OK.

I am sick - that kicked in Saturday and I threw up for the first time yesterday.  I was really sick with Abbie until about week 16, so I am praying that it will be easier with this one.

Yes, we are going to find out what it is and should know by Halloween or the 1st week of November.  I am sure I will be scheduling my amnio in the next few weeks.

Mike is hoping for a boy, but will be happy with either.  I would be happy with either, but am kinda hoping for a girl as I am so used to having a girl.  The thought of a boy seems odd to me now that I have a girl.

Pregnancy must be in the water around her because Alfred's Mom just made a big announcement today too!  Go share your congrats.

Did I cover all your questions?

Thank you so much for all your congrats and excitement.  It really means a lot to me!  Hugs!

Foreshadowing

MK and I both started Weight Watchers a few weeks ago.  Remember when I mentioned that one might get knocked up if they started Weight Watchers?  Ummmmmm.  Yeah.  Anyways.

Stay tuned... if you're all nice, we just might share WHO with you tomorrow!

PS... If you email me or MK (no matter how nice you or how much we like you), our lips are sealed until we blog about it tomorrow!

Have a great day!
