It's Friday!

Yah-freaking-hoo!

Ever since having a broken back a few weeks ago I started letting Maddie walk herself into daycare each morning.  Yes, she could've been doing this for quite awhile now but in the interest of me being on time to work every morning I chose to carry her because seriously the girl likes the wander!  Anyhow, I've found out that she doesn't wander like I thought she would and she actually runs straight to Dee-Dee's door each morning.  It's just the cutest thing.  Once Dee-Dee opens the door and greets Maddie, Maddie's face just lights up and she's SO thrilled to see Dee-Dee.  She'll ask Maddie how her evening was and Maddie starts having what seems to be a conversation with her in the cutest tone of voice you've ever heard.  None of it makes any sense but it melts my heart and makes me want to cry.  Crying in a good way of course.

There are so many fun things that Maddie is doing right now.  She's so into books lately it's not even funny.  We purchased a first words book that has photographs in it and it's her favorite book.  We read this book together a thousand times a day.  She is really catching on too and says things like car, cheese, cow, owl and a bunch of other things.  At my mom's house when she gets her from daycare each day they have a ritual.  Maddie grabs a book from the big stack of books, runs and gets in my moms lap and they make it through about 3 pages before Maddie gets down and runs to get yet another book from the stack.  Repeat like 10 times and you have their little afternoon ritual!  We've been working hard on teaching her body parts and animal sounds and after a little trial and error in finding the right silverware for her we've finally got a fork that works and she ate her dinner by herself with her fork last night, which was a huge milestone because I was starting to think she'd be 16 and still eating finger foods!

I'm looking forward to a fun weekend!  We have a "triple date" on Saturday Night at The Melting Pot and I'm really looking forward to that!  Our new fence still needs to be stained so I think that'll keep Alan busy one day this weekend.  Have a nice weekend everyone!

The Affections of a 5 Year-Old Girl

My 5 year-old has a new obsession...High School Musical.  And with this new obsession, comes a very serious crush.  She is in love with TROY.  It first started with her telling me how she loves his blue eyes.  And it has progressed.  I am not sure if I should laugh at how cute it is or cringe because she is JUST 5 YEARS OLD!!  This past weekend we bought her some HSM school items to bribe her.  He has been a bit if a snot the past couple of weeks and we agreed that if she could have a good weekend, she could have a HSM folder and note book.

Now, Monday when she came home, I opened her folder to get out her homework for the week and I found a love note.  I opened up the above folder and I found this......

Where did this come from?!?  SHE IS F.I.V.E!!!  I am in trouble, trouble, trouble!!

Anybody Want Tickets?

To Perez Hilton Presents?  We got tickets and now we are trying to get rid of them.  The lineup looks wack so far.  I thought Perez was really going to pull off something special with all of the "Juice" he seems to have now.  But NOPE, just a lame line up so far!  Let me know if you are interested.  We have the tickets on ebay, but they are yours if we don't get any bidders!!

TV Baby!!

Am I the only one that is so excited that the new TV season has started?  Yeah!  Last night we watched How I Met Your Mother and Heros and taped a few new shows.  I am excited about CSI, The Office, ER and My Name is Earl. However I am bummed that Lost won't start until January!  That is sooooo far away!  Of course we are watching a bunch of other shows too, but those I am most excited about - what shows are you excited about?

And I have to share with you an Abbie story.  Last night I picked her up from school and she told me "I quit!"  We have no idea where she learned this, but it is so dang cute.  her teachers said that she had said it during the day too and also told them that "Lana quit" and she told me last night that "Dada quit."  It just shows you that they pick up so much of what they hear!

Today is my 3 year wedding Anniv!  Can you believe it?  3 years married, a 20 month old and a baby on the way!  A lot can happen in a short period of time!  Thank you for 3 wonderful years baby!  I love you with all my heart!  You are the best husband and father and Abbie and I (and the new little monster) are so lucky to have you!

A Tooth and 2 Dogs

Not that the Dogs and the tooth are even remotely related!

Last night was an exciting night!  Marley finally lost her 1st tooth!  It took a good 3+ weeks to get er dun, but with the help of Daddy's needle-nose pliers the sucker came out last night!  Yup, I said needle-nose pliers!  She was so afraid to go to sleep with her tooth still in there that she let her Daddy yank the thing out!  I wish I knew how to post video, I taped the whole thing and it was comedy!  She was so cute.  She woke up this morning and told me that she peeked and saw the Tooth-Fairy.  Apparently the Tooth-Fairy is partial to Red Dresses and Red Heels!

Pics at the Park Week!

Yes people, I am totally going to drag this out over the ENTIRE week.  Aren't you all lucky!  We went to the park about two weeks ago and took some pics of our favorite subject.  I will post some of my favorites everyday this week.

But first, can I tell you about teething hell?  Molars.  They suck.  Maddie has been in her "laugh-cry" mode as Alan and I call it.  One second she's laughing and happy and the next she's crying from what I can only assume is teething pain.  Poor baby.  She is handling it like a champ for the most part though, so that's good.

Fafarazzi League?  I'm kicking ass.  Oops, there I go... tooting my own horn.  I should clarify that the only reason I'm in the lead right now is because George Clooney went off and crashed his motorcycle last week.  Glad you're ok George, but thank you for the points!
