Hi from Jersey all! We are here safe and sound and trying to adjust to the time difference. We are all still on SoCal time. Abbie is being a trooper, but the plan ride had its moments. I will tell you all more when we are back. Right now Friday Favorites are more important!
Chipolte. YUMMY! I am in love with this place right now - especially their burrito bowls, guacamole and salty chips! The food is fast, great quality and reasonably priced. I can get a burrito bowl, guacamole, chips and regular drink for just under $10! We have a fiend at work that says it is Subway for Mexican food because you go down an assembly line. If you haven't been there before and its busy - take a breathe before you get in line and be prepared to make some very quick decisions or the bean lady will yell at you - just ask Nicole! They are also very flexible with making basically anything you want for kids! I believe these are across the country.
Yogurt Land. This is for the SoCal locals. You have to go here if you like frozen yogurt. It is so much fun and yummy! It is all self serve - the yogurt and the toppings and they have such a good selection of toppings - so much fresh yummy fruit! And their Strawberry Tart is the best! And the fun part of it all - they weight your yogurt when you are done - $.30 an ounce. If you are in the area - you have to give it a try!
Flame Boiler. I am not sure if these are only in SoCal or not, but if you are out of the area I would look at the web site and see. The food is basic and yummy - Rice bowls with flame broiled meats and veggies with yummy sauces. Basic, filling, good and healthy too! And they are very reasonably priced and quick pick up You can get a bowl with brown rice, all white meat chicken, beef and veggies for like $6.75ish. It is a must try - you will get hooked!
Chick-fil-a. We are behind the times here in SoCal with Chick-fil-a I know, but hello world! This is the best fast chicken around and they have such great choices of sides to your combos too! You can be bad and have fries or you can get a salad, fruit, soup, etc... you can have grilled or fried. The meat is juicy, fresh tasting and all white meat. Abbie loves the chicken too. And for the locations that have play centers (at least here in California) are super clean. Their customer service blows the other fast food places out of the water - they give you chicken samples if you want them and when you go through the drive through with your dog they have bones for them - they even walk around an make sure all is ok. If you are going for the 1st time I recommend that you try a #1 and if you are going for breakfast I recommend the mini chicken biscuit sandwhiches - I like them better then the large ones - different bread. They are closed on Sundays and if you like sweet ice tea - try theirs - they have unsweetened too. And these are across the US!
OK, all that is it for me - time for bed, we are getting up early to drive to Coopertown and visit the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Happy Friday the 13th!!
